Be part of the future of rugby at UQ.

The UQ Rugby Foundation Fund provides financial support to assist members of our community – particularly students – to keep fit, socialise and improve their rugby skills.

The UQ Rugby Club is open to players of all levels as well as volunteer coaches, managers and support staff. The Fund receives no government support and is totally dependent on generous donations and contributions.

As one of Australia's top sporting universities, UQ, along with the UQ Rugby Club, support around 500 registered rugby players each year. Our club is one of the most prestigious and successful sporting clubs in Australia, having produced 68 Wallabies and 10 Wallabies captains.

Every gift is meaningful.

Funds raised during UQ Giving Day will assist the Club in providing new rugby equipment and resources for the upcoming season, and beyond. It will also assist the Club in supporting our junior development officer to visit schools and clubs and increase the number of young people playing rugby and getting active outdoors.

We see rugby as a great way to develop friendships, increase physical and mental fitness and strive for excellence, both on and off the rugby field.

Consider a gift to the UQ Rugby Club this UQ Giving Day to help us to support our growing rugby community.

The difference you can make

$50 – could provide a coaching session for a junior team.

$100 – could provide 4 footballs for one of our teams to use all year.

$500 – could pay the yearly registration for one of players in financial distress.

$1,000 – could provide all of the playing uniforms for our wheelchair rugby team.
