Join us as we inspire and educate the next generation of critical thinkers and STEM leaders.

When you donate to the Wonder of Science program, you’re helping to foster a positive STEM culture that empowers students to engage with science.

Your support will be used to directly support Young Science Ambassadors (STEM researchers) to travel across metro, rural and regional Queensland, providing crucial support and mentorship to Year 4–9 students as they embark on exciting STEM research projects.

You will also enable Year 4–9 school students to attend and present their research projects at regional conferences in their local communities and a state conference in Brisbane.

In addition, your support allows the development of comprehensive teaching resources and support for teachers across Queensland and bursaries, training and guidance for PhD students, empowering them to become Young Science Ambassadors.

Every gift is meaningful.

Your donation will support schools like Drillham State School, where teacher and parent, Katrina Gaze, said:

"I just wanted to let you know a little story that came about from last year’s conference. I am lucky enough to not only be a teacher at the conference but also a mum. [My daughter] went last year [to the state conference] and before going she didn’t really know what she wanted to be when she was older or even if she wanted to go to uni,” Katrina said.

“After attending the Women in Engineering workshop, she walked out and decided that she was going to be an engineer.

“Now at the end of Year 7, she is still very strong in her ideas to be an engineer and is participating in STEM club, future makers and anything else she can. I think the Wonder of Science program is an amazing opportunity. Well done for making it what it is today!”
