The Dee Bradshaw Travel Scholarship was established in 2018 in memory of Professor Bradshaw and is maintained by donations from her network of friends and work colleagues.
Professor Bradshaw was passionate about the development of students and believed in giving them an opportunity to travel and learn. This important scholarship enables a research student in the field of mineral processing at UQ to travel to an international institution to enhance their education, skills and experience.

Loreto Codoceo was the recipient of the Dee Bradshaw Travel Scholarship in 2023.
“The Dee Bradshaw Scholarship will allow me to travel to Chile to undertake a case study at a mining company and participate in a conference. Specifically, the funds will be used for tickets, accommodation, transport and allowance, reducing the financial burden for a trip I otherwise could not afford,” Loreto said.
“Extending my research to Chile, where automation is fundamental to the mining industry, is a great opportunity to obtain deeper insights and more robust outcomes, increasing the practical impact of my research.”
